Hello all! Welcome to my brand-new baby website! This is a project that has been in the works for a long time and I’m so excited to be able to finally reveal it. As with all babies, you’ll see it grow over time. Many of you know that my husband Matthew and I work closely on the development of all aspects of my work, and we have a lot of exciting plans for the future of this site!

For my first official blog post I want to share a bit about why I need this site and how I plan on using it.

I need more than just a Facebook page to be a competitive author and public speaker. I need a space for my own hub of online activity, unconstrained by the whims of social media and the financial motivations of billionaires. Furthermore, I no longer want to post my blog pieces on Facebook alone. For a long time I’ve been doing this and resenting that my ideas and labour are generating further wealth for a billionaire and never any for myself. Going forwards my blog posts will be published here, and I’ll share links to them on my longstanding Facebook page.

I’ve enjoyed building relationships with people I’ve met on Facebook, but with many people, if anything were to happen to my account or theirs, we’d have no way of being in contact again. As such, you’re invited to register below for my email newsletter. If you choose to sign up you can rest assured I will not be spamming you with lots of unnecessary emails, and under no circumstances will I share your email address. That is my promise to you. We’ll also be adding a “Services” section with details of the types of speaking events I can offer for you, both online, and in person.

Huge thanks to Matthew for doing the lion’s share of building this site, and our son Alex for crash testing it for us. Thank you for visiting and reading! Wherever you are in the world, I hope that life is being kind to you.

All the best,

Erin
